There are two types of Full Denture placement:
Immediate dentures
Immediate dentures are made in our state-of-the-art dental laboratory before your teeth are extracted. They can be placed in your mouth during the same appointment, so you are never without teeth.
Conventional dentures
Conventional dentures are placed after your mouth has healed from the tooth removal process.
Victor recommends that immediate dentures only be used as a non-permanent measure. As immediate dentures are made from impressions taken while your natural teeth are still in your mouth, it’s difficult to make a perfectly accurate denture to fit your mouth once your teeth are extracted. Conventional Full or Partial Dentures are created using impressions taken after your teeth are extracted. Once your mouth has healed, and any bone or gum recession has taken place, conventional dentures provide a better overall fit, and adjustments are minimal.
