The Value Victor Minas & Smile Corp Offer
As Smile Corp is a full-service denture clinic, we offer much more than regular denture clinics. Your dentist may refer you to an oral surgeon to place the dental implants, and then you would return to your dentist to place your new permanent teeth on the implants. All of these referrals and appointments take time to schedule, and involve waiting for available timeslots. At Smile Corp, our specialists provide all of these services in-house, without a referral. We work together to surgically place your implants, manufacture any transitional prosthesis required and your new permanent teeth, and then place your new permanent teeth once your mouth has healed.
Benefits Plans and Implants
While dental implants have many non-cosmetic benefits such as improved speech and more comfortable and confident eating, the procedure is still considered cosmetic surgery and it is therefore not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). Furthermore, many private and group insurance plans also do not cover the costs associated with dental implants.
However, it is a good idea to check with your insurance provider to determine whether any of the cost can be offset. We can put in a request to your benefit provider to inquire whether a portion of the implants would be covered. We will even help you to understand your insurance company’s response.
The Cost of Dental Implants
Traditional dental implant costs can range from an initial $1600 to a final total of roughly $4000 for each implant (per tooth), if you have to pay for the entire procedure yourself. However, you may be eligible for a tax return of up to 20% through the Canada Revenue Agency’s medical expense tax credit. Costs will vary depending on the type of procedure you choose, and the number of implants required.
Implants are an Investment in You
Your mouth is the entry point of nutrients into your system. To support a healthy body, good oral hygiene is essential. Investment in your oral health may save you from additional dental work in the future. Healthy teeth which surround areas where there are missing teeth are more prone to problems such as cavities and periodontal disease. Dental implants can help protect the surrounding teeth as well as giving your mouth a healthier appearance.
And with a beautiful smile, the future is bright!
